Hi, i have the problem, that the deply tool doesnt recognice the mp rc1 installation, even if it has it installed right before.

Deploy tool says that a "Very old MP/TV-Engine installation" was / is "removed" even on a machine which never had any kind of MediaPortal installation.
I suggest (in fact infinityloop dropped this line in IRC ;)) to rename the "removed" tag into "not present" because it is more accurate plus some unexperienced users might thing...

The problem was a not fully downloaded "MediaPortal_Setup_1.0_RC1_Refesh.exe" file that caused the problem. I downloaded it again (this time it was 23 MB against 820kb the first time) and it runned well now.

I found out afterwards that my Spyware and Antivirus deleted these files as spyware:
