Hi guys, I know a lot of people have many issues with various in case touch screen etc. They do seem to be VERY problematic when it comes to drivers and actually getting these things to work correctly with MP. I have just seen these mimo They do run of USB and i am wondering if I will have issues with these types of...

Hi everyone, I have a projector for now 3 years and the thing that most annoyed me with it was how to calibrate the colors(by that i mean brightness, contrast, gamma, saturation). I have given up on removing jerky panning on HDTV. SDTV material on my PAL transmission looks great, but as soon as I watch live or recorded HDTV, all panning scenes are jerky. Zooming and stills are perfect. I tried all possible frequencies, deinterlacing modes, resolutions with no sucess. My Panasonic plasma 42PV60 I think has a...

Hi, My HTPC and TV and currently share a common wall with my bedroom. I've been thinking about running cables through the wall and putting a cheap 24" monitor in the bedroom.(+ Speakers and IR receiver) I'll set it up so that it just clones the current monitor. My question is will this work? and will it put extra strain on my...

The main features I'm looking for is possibility to use touchscreen to start a movie/navigate etc. but play the movie on the projector only, preferrably with controls (play/pause/subtitiles etc) available on the touchscreen during playback. It's basically historical - computer monitors are designed to go to standby when the video signal disappears, TV's generally aren't (my Panasonic LCD TV doesn't go to standby, for example). Tony

Re. component output - I'm pretty sure the component output on current ATi cards is on the same connector as the composite/s-video output - you just need the correct cable (but check first that your card does support component output). It will look better than s-video, and it supports 720p output. Tony

Hi Andrew, sorry for not filling out the profile. I will do that when I have more time. A have a AMD 780G with integrated ATI graphic card, Athlon 4850e,WinXP and Mediaportal 1.02. The profiles are already implemented in CCC but when I switch to 2 displays, problem 2 occurs (mediaportal stays black). Thus, I think the best solution...

sounds similar to the problem I was having with my toshiba tv. I know you've said that the refresh rate is correct but have you actually tried changing it? Mine was set to 59hz, I put this on 50hz and it fixed it. Have a look at your tv manual for what the range is for hdmi on that model (mine was 50-60hz) and have a play around with...

I´m thinking about buying a Sanyo PLV-Z700 Beamer (I just need a 720p beamer with Lensshift (see picture) - 1080p is just an add-on in this case) for a room of 6.5 to 4.2 meters with a big glass front (see picture - the marked area in blue is the window). Hi. I got tired of all the connection problems. In the end I took the plunge and upgraded my ancient CRT for a new LCD TV. It costed a lot more than a cheap graphics card but I think it is worth it. It's perfect :) Thanks for your support anyway.

SOLVED! The problem is in fact in the TV settings. You have to go in the Define inputs setting and set the HDMI input to "PC". In this case the TV will not deinterlace the picture, so it will not shake. Now the picture is perfect! Well, it leaves you with the interlaced picture, but you can't notice it from a normal viewing...

Interesting, i did as you said but the desktop was considerably smaller than the screen. I then did some overscan to the tune of 15% to make it fit the screen but the picture wasnt the greatest. Im better of keeping to the VGA. Its an interesting problem. It might be driver related or limitations of the 1250 onboard graphics.
