Because the recordings never ended, the system didn't upgraded the epg info and therefore no new recordings took place the day after.

I don't think it is a good idea to allow database access from internet.
But I assume you are using router and you need to open ports for sql and tv server. There is a wiki on what ports need to be opened and forwarded to tvserver's ip address.

When connecting to my TvServer (that is on another computer) I get this:
"Connected to TvServer, Unable to connect to database"...
I have found the solution.....
It was a H.264 codec error.... I upgraded to PowerDVD 7 Ultra, and use this H.264 decoder, and now it works just fine, but the CPU is at 100%.
before I use the fddshow H.264 codec, and this one dosen't work, with the Canal Digital HD channels, from Thor 2/3, Intelsat 10-02 (1 W)

Strangely is it, that in tve-mmc under the category "streamingserver" the client is active and my hub is active, too.
The client on my server runs further, only the network-clients hangs up !

I would have thought that is what setting the comskip to run while recording rather than afterwords would do, but I know it doesn't. relay, it would be of limited use because you wouldn't very often have much buffer, but it would be nice.

Having a trawl around I found a post that had a similar problem and indicated that renaming the file to .mkv might work...and it does!
It's a work around and at least allows me to play recorded HD programs, something that in the current TV3 and MP...

I found it! In my case it was mpg2splt.ax that wasn't registered.
Check witch CLSID the error shows and check the registry for that CLSID. Probably missing... then check a working servers registry to see whitch codec the CLSID relates to. Then register that codec.
