I would like to suggest that when all cards are busy, and the "no card" is available message is shown, that the user is shown a list of all channels/cards currently in use, and is given the option to "override" one of the cards and watch what they want.

When i am not absolute blind than there are no infos in the logs about installed programms?

It would be useful, for the sake of diagnostics, to have an appended-to diagnostic log file instead of the system which is currently used, one new file for each startup with one backup file kept. It would make things a LOT easier to just set a max length and let it go, trimming the hind end every so often as it goes along.

I usually watch news I missed and sometimes I need to know actual time. Also...skip steps are working but I don’t see OSD info about skip step. Maybe would be good too if there are working even zoom modes....but info about time is probably the most important in this suggestion.

I would like a coherent selection of audio outputdevice for every MP section (My tv, My DVD, My movies, My music etc).
Currently, I get a nasty Reclock warning everytime I start my tv stating that it is incompatible, and I dont know any way to force My tv to output directly to audio out instead of the Reclock virtual audio device...

My ancient and reliable Topfield PVR has the option to cut a TV show into segments via a 3rd-party plug-in. Seems a simple enough...
When a video is playing and you are in the menu, You have to press x to go back to full screen video again. This is cumbersome as you now loose one button on the remote to do this.

It would make life easier when there is an option in MP to see the incoming DVB streaminformation, so what is the bitrate, used format for audio/video, etc..
This could be quite usefull, especially when problems occur. :)

It would be nice if I could configure stack matching how I wanted. It could be something advanced like a regex, or something simple. It is rather annoying to have to stick to MP's naming convention, when I already have my own.

I think it would be nice to see a system status plugin telling the user:
1. which (if any) tuners are in use,
2. if the transcoding is in process
3. if any commercial flagging is in progress ...etc
this could be tied in with the power scheduler to keep the system on when a daemon tool / process is in use and percentages...
