When youre in window mode usually theres no reason to hit pause or anything like that so accidently hitting stop in that situation isn't as likely. Setting 0 as zapping value is a totally different story. If you set 0, you cannot change lets say 2 channels ahead. You have to wait for the tuning of the first channel. If you set a value more than 0 MP allows pressing channel up/down buttons multiple times.

Not really a problem. I was talking about MediaPortal in general, not specifically about MP1, and if developers are doing these improvements in all new MediaPortal version (MP2), then there is really nothing to complain about. I am just glad they are doing it. :)

I was using the free version of Meedio for my music server and chose to use it over Media Portal because of the built in Bass audio...
I would agree to that mPlayer would be great, works without a hitch on xbmc, and should do the same on the pc, VLC is so pooor picture quality - thats why i never use it - unless i really must.. VLC on my crt would be like composite cable instead of RGB :S

Currently windows has its codecs hell. It's confusing and frustrating for the user to get a HTPC up and...
I don't think MP need resizing since it's already in right resolution (and IMO it doesn't use VMR9 for rendering, but direct3D drawing )... this is only for display video stream ... ;)
