This will be easy to implement in MyVids (at least I know how and where to do that there, history will be reset when new screen do not belong to any MyVideos screen + video playback screen ) but it will require another +1 setting in configuration because some users would not like that.

if you use PowerScheduler or PowerScheduler++ you can use the EPG option to run a script. I use it to wake my server and run mc2xml at 3am. see wiki

Answer: No, of course I don't stop the TV. I just press the OFF-Button on my Harmony to power off all my devices. My HTPC then shutdown, because standby is not working good with MediaPortal (Crashes, wrong Window Size, etc. after waking up)
