underscan/overscan is something that your OS and video card settings would be responsible for, not really MP. MP can stretch and crop video to fit your display dimensions, but thats where its functionality ends.

Running clean install of latest snapshot, when I opt to delete the oringinal file after using video editor (built in plug in one) MP hangs, cant alt-tab or ctrl/alt/del out of it, have to reset PC. On rebooting both files are still there...
Guess I should post a log file or something?

TV engine 3 and TV server are still in Beta and not implemented into 0.2.2.0. You will have to use SVN to test these out. :)

and where are the logs from such a scan where we could see what happened?
general advice: rerun scan 3 times. sometimes this helps to get "all" channels.
on dvb-c its also possible that simply the frequence of the missing channels is missing in the dvbc.xml file.
