Not positive this is the place to post this, but I've been using some software called GraphRenderer I found on the thegreenbutton.com.
The great thing about this is not only will it convert a dvr-ms to a mpeg2 complient video, it will remove the commercials in a recorded television program.
It is still in it's alpha stage...

Yes. For example, if you have a single DVB-T card you can record one channel and while that channel is being recorded you are unable to timeshift.
With dual DVB-T tuner card you can watch one channel / record another at the same time.
See also hybrid cards if you are using analog, DVB-S, etc...

Hi Lloydsmart - so, almost a year on, what was your decision in the end? I am very happy with MP, but I am also wondering about the leap into Linux based computing, only because I want to experiment with a system with multiple clients on it, and I don't want the expense of lots of XP or W7 licenses. I am also looking for the least...

Hi,
:) the only thing you need to do is, keep an eye on audio encoding. AFAIK VirtualDubMod makes uncompressed PCM out of MP2. You need to install Lame ACM to encode to MP3.
Have fun.
HTH, Flip.

Just thought I would reply with my own findings.

Just wanted to clarify this, or perhaps muddy the waters further, but I cannot be sure if I ever ran my AVR with Win 7. Before I bought the AVR I had the HTPCs audio line out connected to an old stereo amp and I got the AVR in Nov. 2015. The Win 7-10 free upgrade was available from the Summer of 2015 and I know I did not switch the...
