Well @morpheus_xx you were right, i ticked the box to "force standby" in PowerScheduler. My fault, didn't remember using this option. Now, the servers stays awake. So my "problem" is solved this way, TV server is present when I need it.
But I think the underlying questions remains: Does TV...
Sorry guys for coming back to this topic so late.
It was truly the wrong server side settings here. I just changed the recordings folder for the first card in TV server setup and dind't click to use this folder for all cards.
So now I found the time to reproduce the behaviour. Still, all the...
Well okay, i have to check this. But I am quite sure, that in my setup MP2 server (which is a dedicated server only) goes to sleep while client is streaming online videos. Is there any special setting to power scheduler in MP2 server for this?
the wol of MP2 server on client startup works well. I'm very happy to get this feautre implemented directly in MP2.
But I think this feature could become even more handy, if it handles more situation than only "client startup".
Imagine you start the client (--> server gets wol...
I now moved all my recordings to a local folder on the server. I created a fileshare pointing to that folder, and chose this share as UNC path in the settings of the tv server als recording folder.
Everything in the environment still works fine.
Except I still get the same behaviour...
So i created the folder and reproduced again. It seems that the logs created in "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Log" are not included in the collector zip? I added them manually.
Okay, first thank you for the feedback on SMB 3... indeed my QNAP was bound to 2.1 as highest SMB Version. I adjusted this setting to SMB 3.
Then I started reproducing the problem. Started recording on "Tagesschau", then, just a couple of seconds later, I started the playback of the recording...
Yes, I'll give it a try, as soon as I find the time.
I already thought about switching to local network share on the server. Another downside of the NAS solution is, that the MP Server will go to sleep mode while watching a recorded file on the client.
After the film has finished and you get...
just wanted to add that i can confirm the behaviour. Didn't report it as a bug, because i thought it simply works as designed.
As roedler86 states: If you start an ongoing recording, which already records for let's say 30 minutes, the playback will stop after 30 minutes. I think this...
MediaPortal 2 Version: 2.2
Dear MP2 Team,
first I'd like to thank you for all the work you spend for the project. I'm using MP2 since early versions as I rely on a multinode environment with a central TV server, so it's just the far better platform than MP1 for such a usecase.
As I switched to MP2 TVServer a couple of weeks ago, I started following this thread and also installed the versions in the first post to test MP2Extended. And in principle, all works fine and the webservices are running.
My intention of this is to get aMPDroid to work with...
