Anyone else having issues with the import of "Penny Dreadful: City of Angels" in v18.104.22.168?
I've been using this plug-in from the day it became available and for the first time I'm experiencing a very weird behavior.
The first scan on this specific show always fails to find the episodes in the...
@Itfearme I redid the tests with an updated version of MP. (I still had MP 1.22)
- updated to MP 1.23
- updated to MP-TVSeries 22.214.171.124 (although I ran 319457_MP-TVSeries-126.96.36.199-Beta.mpe1)
- updated to MovingPictures 1.8.3 beta
- having Trakt 6.0.2 (latest public version)
- having put...
Hi @Itfearme, I tested out your new beta test package and it gives an System.InvalidOperationException just before the completion of an import.
I've added the stack trace of the error to this post.
As you can see in the error log, it's a conflict with Trakt and when I disable the Trakt plug-in...
This is actually not needed.
I also have my tvdb account id filled in the configuration and the plugin still works fine.
I've been keeping up with the versions you posted and noticed a strange thing.
As of this week the series name of '"The Mandalorian" was suddenly changed into the Spanish...
I tested it out on 26 series via MP Configuration and the API call works fine.
Only one thing I noticed which you did as well: season banners of newly added series (e.g. The Mandalorian) are not retrieved or not shown.
Overall you did a great job again @Itfearme! :)
No, you're not the only one.
API v1 of TVDB had already issues the week before. You had to scan multiple times to finally get some output.
And as of Friday you get this message in the MP-TV Series log:
"Can't connect to http://thetvdb.com/api/<apikey>/mirrors.xml: The remote server returned an...
This warning can be found on the download page of the MediaPortal 1.23 Regeszter Edition (pre-release): "This Release will break all plugins who use MediaInfo, please report issues on dedicated thread, related to plugin."
As MyTVSeries uses MediaInfo, it needs to be updated so it becomes...
I have added the language spec to the extension of all my subtitle files. So in my case all is good (y).
Before I discovered this thread, I indeed played with the splitters to see whether I could change the behavior.
I tried to change any Haali Media Splitter and LAV splitter...
Hi, In the meanwhile everything is in working order again on my side and I wanted to give some feedback to close the thread gracefully.
In 2014-2015 I did several MP updates, clean MP re-installs, OS (W7) updates, all to no avail - the problem remained
In 2016 I switched to Windows 10 (normal...
For people discovering - like me - that subtitles without locale (extra extension denoting the language) are not supported anymore as of Mediaportal 1.13, I would like to make a remark on the post of Sebastii.
First of all, thank you for your explanation and pointing out that subtitles now need...
Sebastii, thanks for your relentless effort in trying to solve the issue. It is impressive that you have provided a solution although you couldn't reproduce the problem yourself.
Open source only has a future with people like you! Respect!
Good news and perhaps for everyone.
Apparently the issue is related to a Microsoft update.
After the Windows Updates of last week the problem disappeared for me.
Except for reinstalling the MP-TVSeries plug-in - as requested but which did not help - I did literally nothing with my HTPC...
- ALT-TAB does not fix it. Tried that.
- I have no autohide taskbar and no tools installed that interfere with the toolbar
- No pixels, the mouse pointer appears in the exact middle of the screen
But I have noticed that the mouse pointer does not appear during the start of MP.
It appears the...
I did a reinstall of MP-TVSeries, not from the MP Extension manager but directly (mpe). Unfortunately, it didn't change the behavior.
Setup: I am using LOGITECH Cordless Desktop EX 110 but without the mouse. (mouse removed, no batteries in it)
The only way to remove the mouse pointer is to put...
I've been experimenting myself with a lot of settings to no avail.
My drivers are always up-to-date and I do not see any conflicts in the windows event log.
The problem may seem trivial but from my experience it is really annoying.
I'm thinking of downgrading to MP 1.10 as well.
Did any of the developers (of MP 1.11 / MP-TVSeries) already had time to test this use case?
This would be much appreciated
Just unplug your mouse. Reboot your PC and see what happens if you start a video via MP-TVSeries.
No it is no skin issue. I just mentioned StreamedMP because it includes MP-TVSeries.
I'm pretty sure that the issue has been introduced via MP-TVSeries. If I remove StreamedMP - and as such MP-TVSeries - the mouse issue is fixed.
After some more testing the only way now to assure that your...
Since I did an upgrade from StreamedMP-188.8.131.5240+online-patch to StreamedMP-184.108.40.20694 (due to the editor crashing after upgrading to MP 1.11) the mouse cursor/pointer remains on screen if the mouse is disconnected.
I do not use a mouse so I got this problem right after the StreamedMP...
As I said, the problem only started for me after installing StreamedMP [StreamedMP-220.127.116.1194] on top of MP 1.11. This is a must as the previous version of StreamedMP was not compatible anymore with 1.11 (editor crashed).
One of the packages of StreamedMP is MP-TVSeries.
I did the...
Wow I thought I was the only one with this problem.
Not sure if it is related to MP 1.11 because the issue started after the very last update of StreamedMP [StreamedMP-18.104.22.16894].
The mouse pointer will only disapear if it was connected/found at start.
And as you can guess, I use my HTPC...
Ok, I understand.
The debugging might not be available if the problem cannot be reproduced on my main PC where VS will be installed. Then the only other option is to add debug statements to the code, hope it doesn't interfere with the behavior, and then look in the log how far we got until the...
Worked again late today...
Did test the 1.6.0-pre build. See result.
Just a thought - most probably a stupid question - but how do you manage synchronization in MP? As developer I would look for methods that are running in parallel and do not respect an order when they actually should: the...
Just back from work.
I'll test the new bin tomorrow if that's ok with you.
And I'll try to get hold of VS 2013... for the dev setup.
Do I need specific acces rights to GIT? Or is setting up a GitHub account enough?
No problem. Take your time.
During the week I do not have anyway a lot of time in the evening (I spend long days at work).
If you give me the directions on how to setup a local build (incl. all artefacts: project structure, libraries, compiler, (ant?) build scripts) then I will do that.
Sniplet from the last generated log file - focused on when the error occurs -
I get the error a bit later - after the "VideoPlayer9: Disabling DX9 exclusive mode"

Got it... will install & test now...
Extracted, skin renamed, copied, configuration set, testing now...
-- done the test via watchdog --
Added the log
MP 1.6 pre
Refresh rate changer disabled
Result: CHANGE! - error after (re)start of 3th video (before it was always after the 4th)
I will. You'll get the new log in a minute.
But it probably won't have an effect... I already tried that one myself :)
OK log added.
MP 1.8 pre
Refresh rate changer disabled
Result: no change - error after (re)start of 4th video
I'm downloading : "MediaPortalSetup_1.7.100-38-g8dba673_(MP1-4508-BUG-Fix_restore_MP_on_wrong_screen_branch)_for_TESTING_ONLY_2014-06-08-21-38.exe";
This file is from yesterday - is that ok?
-- nb --
Going to eat my dinner now + will test & return in 1 hour
WOW ... thank you, this just proved my assumption!
In this version (1.5) of MediaPortal stated problem does not occur.
I started up first the same and then different video's multiple times (+10) and no issue at all.
It works just as I remembered.
This rules out a lot of stuff: codecs, LAV...
Just tested the MPAR audio renderer (instead of dsound) with my current setup, and I'm afraid the result is the same.
Choosing MPAR wouldn't anyway be an option for me because I redirect the raw sound signal directly via fiber optic cable to my external (Onkyo) amplifier who is capable of...
Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately the issue is not the same what I'm having. The error is indeed in the same component but the error code is different.
It was identified as a bug in MP and resolved as such:
Thanks again to all for joining this discussion and trying to find a solution. I really appreciate that! (y)
In attachment I added a new debug log with following settings, as requested:
Some details regarding the test:
The 4th time you start a video you get that error message; (when NOT in...
