Re : [French] allocine.fr (2009-01-31)
Voici la version que j'utilise. Il reste quelques problèmes quand le résultat de la recherche contient des films sans année mais j'arrive à m'en accommoder. Il récupère titre, titre original, durée, année, affiche, genre, réalisateur, note, synopsis, MPA...
You need 3 files:
- BasicHomer.py, the python script,
- BasicHome.2.tpl, the template for 2 rows,
- BasicHome.3.tpl, the template for 3 rows.
First, check all these files are in the same folder.
There is no more requirement.
If you're using a case-sensitive file system, you can try to rename...
It seems has_key is obsolete in Python 3.0 (2to3 - Automated Python 2 to 3 code translation).
Is it the version you run?
If so, changing:
if not home.has_key(x + 1):
if not x + 1 in home:
should do the trick (not tested).

When retrieving a new movie detail from my favourite web site, there's sometimes no image available or a wrong one. In this case, I remember Google is my friend and put the image I found in the same folder than the movie, with the same name.
If I didn't retrieve movie details, the image is...

For the record: this patch will not work alone. There are 3 more files to modify:
I built and tested it...
I finally located the missing translation in the code. It's in /trunk/mediaportal/Databases/Video/IMDBFetcher.cs, method "_fetchActorsInMovie".
A patch is attached.
You also need to add the string #1059 in /trunk/mediaportal/MediaPortal.Base/language/strings_en.xml:
I finally had a look at the code. Everything seems to be in the only file /trunk/mediaportal/xmbc/MediaPortal.cs.
A patch is attached.
Here are new strings in english:
<String id="63">Waiting for startup of TV service...</String>
<String id="64">Waiting </String>...
I updated this script once again to grab roles with actors.
I don't post it yet since I think I found a bug: "as" isn't translated when #cast is expanded.
Could someone confirm this? Is there any workaround?
I would like to modify the skin I use (B&W 1080p) to display video runtimes like this: "1:27" instead of like that: "87". Is there a way to do that?
I searched the forum and the manual but didn't find anything.
TV-Server Version: 184.108.40.206 RC4
MediaPortal Version: 220.127.116.11 RC4
MediaPortal Skin: Black & White 1080p
Is it possible to translate these messages?
I searched for them in xml files but didn't find anything. Are they hardcoded?
Here is the last version:
- fix : grab now correctly runtimes when they aren't like "#h #min" (for example "30min" or "2h")
- add: convert <br/> tags to newlines
- add: convert nbsps to spaces
- bug: quotes are doubled when displayed (perhaps an issue with mp?)
Here is a new version of vinch100's script which grabs now the movie runtime. I've also modified regexps that contain characters with accent.
It works fine on my computer. Hope it'll do the same with yours...
This script works fine for me. I could even get the year and the director after I replaced every character with accent with a dot (for example, "Année de production" with "Ann.e de production" or "Réalisé par" with "R.alis. par").
Remaining issues are the duration and the MPA rating which are...
I stumbled on this awesome plugin.
Everything works very well with B&W1080 as Aj1405 built this skin to work especially with background images.
Everything but TV Guide. I searched for a solution since yesterday evening and finally found that it'll work only if the background image doesn't...
I made this little python script to generate basichome.xml easily. You can choose between 2 templates : 2 or 3 rows.
Just put the 3 files in a directory, edit basichomer.py to choose what you want to see in the basic home screen, then launch it. It'll generate a new ready to be used...
