I've investigated your logs and clearly see that it isn't working. First of all I would like you to verify the firmware versions of your cameras. To see the firmware version, goto the camera's webpage and enter the Setup pages. The firmware version is stated on the page displayed.
Just to clarify, mts has it correct. The AXIS Media Control ActiveX component installs a couple of codecs when browsing to the camera's homepage and watching live view. Since ActiveX is a Microsoft technology not used by other browsers, I wanted to make sure you used IE. I know there was a...
Axis 232D+ and Axis 214 PTZ should be supported by the plugin. Can you please run this application on your computer and verify that Axis RTP filters are up to date?
I have no idea whether it is possible for a Axis camera to be viewable from a WD TV Live box, sorry.
You are able to enter a password of 8 characters.
I am sorry to say that I likely won't support AXIS 2100. The reason is that the API (by Axis called VAPIX) is different from the other Axis cameras. The AXIS 2100 is a first generation camera, and Axis decided not to be forward compatible when...
If you wan't I can add you to Google Code and give you a branch to play around in. Any changes to that branch will of course have to be reviewed by me before merging back to trunk (I trust you've got experience in using Subversion and branch management). Write me a PM with the e-mail you would...
It feels good that you are taking an interest in this plugin. However, your assumption that I am overestimating the quantity of work to get other cameras to work in my plugin frankly only shows your lack of knowledge on how MediaPortal works. This is not a disrespect or anything...
Seems your installation is correct. Can you please provide more information about your setup:
1. Are you trying to watch video from the same cameras from both Windows XP and 7?
2. What cameras does not work from Windows XP, and what firmware versions are the cameras using.
3. On computer with...
I've been thinking about it, and have written a issue about it.
However, supporting multiple brands is not easy. Here are some problems I will encounter:
Developing support for a specific brand will be hard if I don't own a camera of the brand myself
If a user encounters a problem with a brand...
Bug when uninstalling plugin
I've found a bug occurring when uninstalling the plugin. A file called AxisCameras.dll is not removed, and because of this MediaPortal thinks that the plugin still is installed. I've notified MediaPortal developers and they've submitted a patch for the problem...
I've tracked down my problem, and it is a bug.
In class PackageClass we have the following code:
/// Do the unistall procces. The unistall file info should be alredy loaded.
public void UnInstall()
for (int i = UnInstallInfo.Items.Count - 1; i > 0...
I would like to bump my question. I've done some more investigation, and it seems that when I uninstall Axis Cameras 188.8.131.52, the extension installer doesn't remove AxisCameras.dll. Is this a bug or a weird feature I don't understand?
I have a problem where uninstalling my plugin doesn't remove all installed files. It leaves a file called AxisCameras.dll, which contains the implementation of ISetupForm which makes MP believe the plugin still is installed. When investigating the following folder:
Re: AW: [Plugin] Axis Cameras 1.1 (22.03.2011)
I've made sure the plugin will be compatible with the new upcoming official 1.2.0 release of MP. However, due to breaking changes in MP (changes that will break backward compatibility for all plugins) I won't release the new version now since...
thank you very much for your detailed answer. I totally misunderstood the designedForVersion argument, thank you for clearing that out!
Note to myself: make sure you understand the problem before spending other peoples time; and your own; ranting about non-issues :ooops:
I would like to continue the discussion regarding the designedForVersion argument in the CompatibleVersion attribute. It is clear from this thread that I shouldn't enter 184.108.40.206 here even though all my efforts at the current time is concentrated towards supporting that version. You are in fact...
Re: [Plugin] Axis Cameras 1.1 (22.03.2011)
Yay, version 1.1 is out!
[FEATURE]: Show live video streams from Axis network video servers
A shout-out to Sili79 for taking his time to verify the new version, thank you!
