I get a freeze too, when the distant folder get disconnected without prompt (reboot, cable disconnected, ...). I must stop MP in a not very nice...
Seems nobody has this problem... I will not add any further comment if I am the only one who noticed this.

I have the same issue. I have somthing like 40 directories in my picture shared folder, and browsing inside may take 30 secondes from one folder...
