[News] MediaPortal 1.19.0 Pre-Release ready for testing!

Apologies if this has already been brought up elsewhere, but what were the MadVR fixes as i have had to revert back to 1.18 if i use MadVR. I'm not exaggerating when i say that there were tens of thousands of frames dropped in not much more than an hour.

Yes, 1.18 is pretty much flawless with MadVR. Unfortunately, 1.19 pre release is very bad with MadVR (tens of thousands of frame drops) so hopefully this is resolved in 1.19 final. I'm unsure if anyone else has reported this issue, if not then i will.

    [News] MediaPortal 1.3.0 Alpha Released

Apologies, meant using ReClock and setting it to Accept Bitstream Formats, so it will repeat and drop audio frames rather than encode the audio to AC3, James from Slysoft doesn't recommend it, but it works works well for some. Bought new analog cables today, so will be back to that and will...

    [News] MediaPortal 1.3.0 Alpha Released

Sorry, yeah i know, i just notice less of a difference having audio frames dropped/repeated than encoding to AC3.

    [News] MediaPortal 1.3.0 Alpha Released

Many thanks for this, been looking forward to it. Quick test and i can get StreamedMP working if i switch once inside, probably end up with issues though, but will do while i'm waiting for a proper one, and the GF doesn't like change lol. Fantastic to see native BluRay playback, don't...

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Argghh, don't say that lol. Whats up with the Nvidia HD Audio drivers?

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Never said playback wasn't smooth with ReClock, i had no video issues with it at all, it was audio issues when i used wasapi with ReClock, gave up trying to find a fix, as i knew it was the card/drivers. Yeah i saw the same issues your summarizing, and glad tourettes has sorted some of these...

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

I'm also not far from abandoning the Xonar D2. While i have no issues with it as a music card, and think the hardware itself is great, as a gaming card it has issues, all caused by drivers, as a card for movies, its ok as long as you don't use wasapi, which rules out perfect use of this...

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

No need to apologize, not like its your paid job. Weird about the DirectSound thing, forcing it definitely sorts it for me, will mess about with the settings on the soundcard, and some other drivers to see if the issues is being cased elsewhere.

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Any updates here, been dead for a wee while. I've ended up forcing direct sound just to keep sync perfect, and tbh i can live with the worse sound quality for now, but looking forward to something new on this, even if most of my issues are realated to my crappy sound card drivers.

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Yeah, if the driver is saying its 24hz when your selecting 23.976 then it will be slightly sped up, is this a big issue for you, as there will always be a small amount of resampling done using this renderer anyway. Would be silly that AMD have changed this in their drivers though, as it was a...

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Seeco, posting from work and hopefully read the question correctly, but will put in my own input until tourettes is around. The refresh rate reported should be the actual one, but im using Nvidia hardware. It should report the actual framerate its being displayed at, not the original...

Great to see something new to test, will give this a bash now, and report any issues etc.. Thanks again for this.

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

Yes, your correct, MPC MPA decoder doesn't differ that much, it seemed to just be better on one TV show for some reason. I hadn't thought about different decoding speeds depending on the h264 codec used, but it makes sense, have you tryed with DXVA variations such as PDVD10 or ffdshow DXVA...

MediaPortal Audio renderer - better video playback quality

tourettes, apologies for lack of feedback, and thank you for your work on this.:thx: GPU - GTX460 Audio - Asus Xonar D2 Been testing this most of the week, and have to say i'm impressed, obviously have to keep WASAPIUseEventMode at 0, but video has been nice and smooth so far, and...
