UPnP / DLNA Media Server for MediaPortal 2

Yeah that's what I meant to imply. But you may find it won't work due to variables already been defined and actions.

UPnP / DLNA Media Server for MediaPortal 2

@MrTechno I imagine eventually no. As you've seen I added the variables needed for UPnP and the methods required / optional which are commented out for UPnP where I couldn't directly map to existing functionality in MP2. As @MJGraf said I separated and cleaned up the UPnP and MP2 functionality...

WiP: Adding design time support for MPF-XAML

If we manage to fix the outstanding issues will that mean we can possible get the preview working in VS (even in a basic form without directX rendering)?

UPnP / DLNA Media Server for MediaPortal 2

If you're working on UPnP it's probably worth looking at: https://github.com/Valks/MediaPortal-2/compare/MP2-280_Medialibrary_5000_items_limit I went through and rewrote a lot of the content directory Implementation (adding support for UPnP 1.1) It has been a while since I've looked at it but...

Testbuilds for Native MP2 TV - Updated for 10th AE Update 1 (2014-09-13)!

Personally I'd want the option to set a time limit, buffer size limit or both so it works based on whichever triggers first. Keeps it simple for people who want a 90 minute buffer or those with space issues. In both cases don't need to know the bitrate but we can put in a link to the wiki for a...

Testbuilds for Native MP2 TV - Updated for 10th AE Update 1 (2014-09-13)!

Yeah I came to that conclusion already just didn't want to say anything. Basically UPnP is going under major review atm and OWIN will be part of it

    HDHomerun Prime & MediaPortal 1.5

Really have nothing but I'd say it isn't a networking problem as the spy tool works flawless. Only thoughts are: A binding conflict stopping the UPnP Library receiving messages (something else is catching them first)? Can you run the TV Server through a debugger and step through the request /...

    HDHomerun Prime & MediaPortal 1.5

I have no idea about the HDHomerun Prime or how it's integrated into MP1 / MP2. If it uses the MP2 UPnP framework to access the resource (from what I assume is the dlna provider) then it's probably best to tackle this after I finish the (breaking) changes I'm doing to the MP2 UPnP framework...

[fixed] Sorting Order is not "natural"

I get surprised by this also. So much so that I was surprised when I didn't see anything related to data virtualisation at least commented in the code.

[fixed] Sorting Order is not "natural"

Ah! I'm a bit out of touch (forgot we use UPNP to communicate with the client when I wrote the comment). Not sure if it's defined in specification for UPNP to tell the server what the local is but if there is a provision we should implement and use it. Otherwise maybe add a value to the HTTP...

[fixed] Sorting Order is not "natural"

Well I'll keep it in mind as I work on the media library as I'll be reworking the queries already for the limits. As for UPNP since the user can't specify that probably best to stick with the "default" so hopefully that'll have minimal if any changes.

[fixed] Sorting Order is not "natural"

Couldn't we add extra indexes for the extra cultures? I imagine a situation where we do our import and once that process is complete the culture based indexes get updated. Not a perfect solution but :/

MPAnywhere - a proof of concept for an MP2 webservice and webinterface

small hint: use IList instead of IEnumerable for future data virtualization :) I'm pretty sure optionalMIAs can be null with no consequences (there's a reason it's optional) but necessaryMIAs are used.

MPAnywhere - a proof of concept for an MP2 webservice and webinterface

I'm not sure how far you can use the plugin.xml file that comes with every plugin for MP2 but with the service registration (and I guess menu) couldn't that information be pulled from the plugin.xml. That way the hosting URI, menu items required (maybe more than 1), etc. could also be...

MPAnywhere - a proof of concept for an MP2 webservice and webinterface

(I haven't had a proper look yet) If it's done as an MVC site you can template to suit. That way we can try out many designs relatively easily. Hopefully though someone might come up with an awesome (animated, single page?) design we can use :D

Extension Management powered by NuGet engine

If people have plugins via nuget we could probably automate the rebuild on a major release. I suspect by the time MP2 hits 1.0 the core will be stable enough that 90% of the time that'll be all that's required (if it's even required) to get plugins working with newer builds. Really liking this...

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

For the client you could use anything you want to access the data. WebAPI does support OData http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dn201742.aspx so you can use the Sencha touch API to make a client if you wish.

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

As I mentioned before you can still use WCF with the aspnetwebstack so if that's the preferred method to use it would be no issue. I guess the benefit is that you can use the server for all your needs, html, webAPI, WCF, etc. (well not php without way to much effort).

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

The output can be JSON, BSON, XML. There won't be any issues with compatibility using WebAPI. Everyone will have to write there own project and bind it to the HttpServer. To do that they have to register there route. I'd say just offer a way for them to register with out HttpServer instance...

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

ASP.Net web services themselves are older but the WebAPI itself is a new iteration on the idea which feels like a real popular method to use from MS. I agree in the long run it would be good to replace the server with something that has more features such as the aspnetwebstack but I don't see...

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

Think of the aspnetwebstack as if you're hosting in IIS or apache. It's a full blown asynchronous http hosting server (probably heavily based on IIS) so you could host anything you could host on IIS with the .net framework installed (sorry no php but asp.net is fine :D). The only extra effort...

    MP2 WebServer - Configure MP2, Browse, Edit & Play MediaLibrary, ...

One option could be to use WebAPI and the self hosting nuget package to host your own http server. http://www.asp.net/web-api/overview/hosting-aspnet-web-api/self-host-a-web-api While you'd have 2 http servers running http.sys won't care as long as you bind to a different URI. Besides it looks...

Calling a method within the Model once the Screen has completed loading

The only reason I have it in the WeatherModel also is for the first time triggering. I guess the other way to do it would be automatically navigate to the setup screen if no settings are defined. Also thanks for the help.

Calling a method within the Model once the Screen has completed loading

Tried EventTrigger and it calls my trigger first so I get the same undesired effect if I call synchronously. If I make the call asynchronously I can get around the issue, it just means I have to make sure the context is still active or add a cancelation token before it shows any dialogs...

Calling a method within the Model once the Screen has completed loading

Sorry I haven't pushed the latest version yet (I'll do it shortly). All I'm trying to do is call DetectLocation() when someone enters the weather.xaml screen. I looked over triggers but didn't find EventTrigger. That would do all I need looking at your example (I didn't read...

[Finished] Improvement suggestion for Weather Plugin

You don't want the installer to be full of questions. It's still a plugin but I have been recently thinking along those lines. While not having to prompt the user is ideal I think at the moment it's unavoidable if a reliable reference isn't available such as a GPS. So unless we have a phone...
