If I set the Cross-fading value to 0 there's no fading on track skip but the error remains nevertheless.
"GCHandle of Musicstream not found in Dictionary -2147483346 The key was not specified in the directory." What does that mean? What's GCHandle?
I still have the suspicion that there's a...
Now I had the same error with another audio file (see attached file), although all mixing options were disabled:
Although Fade-in / Fade-out is disabled, MediaPortal fades in and fades out when I skip to the next track.
It looks like MediaPortal ignores the setting:
Thanks for testing!
With the following steps I can reproduce the issue:
1. Enable WASAPI
2. Add the previously attached track and another track to the playlist and play it
3. Wait for the first track to end
The music playback hangs at the end of the first track and the second track is...
Thanks for your involvement!
Yes, it fails everytime.
I use WASAPI:
Probably the issue is related to this configuration. I'll test if it occurs with BASS engine as well:
Is there anything else I can check?
The issue happens with MP 1.25 Pre Test 5 as well.
It's reproducible, it always happens with certain MP3 files. But all of them can be played in other media players.
An example file is attached.
I really would appreciate if someone could take a look at this issue.
Thanks for explaining!
How to avoid database inconsistencies like this?
Two records point to the same file name.
If the user deletes one of the two records via the FH config GUI, the file gets deleted and the second entry remains. Then, if FH wants to open this Fanart the file is missing.
You're right, if some of ten Fanarts are disabled new Fanarts get downloaded. (y)
But I found another bug:
I disabled five of ten Fanarts which were imported from local source.
The result is that for the disabled Fanarts duplicate database entries were created and the new entries were enabled...
What can be the reason for the following exception?
30-Mar-2020 17:08:52 Error [LatestPictureHandler]: GetLatestMediaInfo (Pictures): System.MissingFieldException: Feld nicht gefunden: "Metadata.ImageDimensions".
The duplication reduction feature works brilliiant, It's really nice to see that duplicate Fanarts are no longer downloaded and that existing Fanarts get replaced by similiar high quality Fanarts! (y)
I really appreciate your efforts!
I spent some time to evaluate and test this new feature...
Currently FH allows to have 10 Fanarts per artist. E. g. If the user disables 4 of the 10 Fanarts, FH only shows 6 Fanarts and does not download 4 other Fanarts, right?
It would be nice, if it was allowed to have 10 active (enabled) Fanarts and not to count disabled Fanarts.
Do you understand...
It turned out that the FH database got corrupted somehow. A FanartHandler.db3-journal file was created yesterday in the morning. The DB integrity check returned several errors. Unfortunately I have no FH log file from the time when the database got corrupted.
I've repaired the database via...
MediaPortal and FH were running the whole day and playing music flawlessly until I put Windows to hibernate mode and resumed it.
On hibernating FH was not able to query for the MBID because of the missing internet connection. The following error was logged very often:

You're right, 10 images were downloaded already! Sorry, the Windows file search result was misleading.
Another case, Roxette.
To my understanding, according to the log file 14 images are found online, 3 of them already exist. This means 11 available images.
But only 8 are downloaded. File count...
Thanks for explaining!
I see this with known artists like Robbie Williams. According to the log file 10 images were downloaded but there are only nine in the folder:
I played the same song multiple times but the tenth image dont't get downloaded.

@doskabouter: Can you upload all your changes to the current Pre Test branch?
@ajs: Question regarding the deduplication feature:
I see several artists where actually more than ten Fanart pictures were available online but less than ten pictures get stored and displayed. It looks like the...
@ajs: The log file contains a lot of errors referring to a local build folder of the developer: R:\build\work\MP\mediaportal\Core\guilib
Can I solve them somehow?
@doskabouter: Can I use your DLLs with MP 1.24.000_2020-03-18-12-58?
1.24.000_2020-03-18-12-58 has been installed now.
A lot of errors in the log file which I'm going to ignore because of the Pre version.
But I replayed the Prince song and the System.NullReferenceException hasn't been reappeared yet. Also, the duplicate Fanart picture has not appeared anymore...
