I looked this up in the forums and it seems the last 2 topics regarding playlists and m3u8 support are 5 years old at least.
I just ran into the trouble with special characters in song names and media portal is just hiding those songs within m3u files.
How can I adress this. You...
I got the same request and would like to see it as part of moving pictures.
Implemented like this:
Setting a flag on 1 or more movies ("bookmark" or "watch later") would bring up a new top level category
Trakt has some very nice features. But it also follows the social trend and requires...
i just copied the default wide skin files to my streamedMP skin folder
my screen is on 1920x1080 but the skin files seem to be written for 1280
when starting the plugin , everything is shown in the top left corner and not stretched to fullscreen.
how can i fix/adjust this without modifiing the...
I recently switched from MP1.2x to MP1.4 (using StreamedMP) and reinstalled RadioTime with the version from this topic.
Everything seems to work. The only issue is the half transparent black background from the StreamedMP Skin (mainoverlay.png) which is no longer streched to the full...
could solve my trouble by first deleting movingpictures.dll (c:\program files.. )
and second, remove the old moving pictures database (c:\programdata\team media portal\data bases..)
using windows 7. for win xp the second path is different. i think its c:\users\NAME\application data..\ )
i get fairly similar log messages and my import isnt workin.
it keeps repeating:
16-Jan-2013 19:33:39 Fatal [ MovieImporter]: Unhandled error in MediaScanner. System.ArgumentNullException: Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein.
I now can easily add the server. I dont know if it really waits for a response when adding the server by MAC adress, but the server gets added instantly
In Mediaportal the server wakes up instantly on main screen (ID=1) although i set up, it shall only wake up @moving pictures.
thanks for the fast response!
I will let you know as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I figured out that by default Fritzbox won't support UPD 9 forwarding for various security reasons.
I contacted the support, and they told me, that there indeed is a solution available...
Yes sure. Hopefully he can help out here.
In the meantime I checked it with another tool (mc-wol.exe)
There you need to use the mac adress and optionally the ip range if its in another network for the magic packet being send.
It failed as well, but I really dont get it.. Ping just works fine...
I just double checked to make sure I dont talk crazy things ;)
On the remote client, when clicking on "add" I get the message:
"Error: Host seems to be powered off or is not reachable... "
My range: 192.168.15.x
the remote client: 192.168.16.x
Both ranges can be used on each of...
this can be closed.
the issue seems to be the remote server, that simply doesnt send any response to media portal.
I cant tell why there is no check for a timeout within moving picture. maybe the server already opened the file stream but didnt send any data.
never the less.
on my local MP client, I use your WOL PM for quite a while now and feel really happy about it.
Recently, I added another client that is located in another LAN (remotely and connected with a VPN connection). Due to the two different networks with different adress ranges, names...
in MP1.2.3 I use two different data sources. One is in the local LAN, the other one is in a remote LAN that is connected by SVN.
In MP i can play local movies, but when loading the remote files (movies), it freezes.
I double checked in Windows. I can access the files in the explorer...
Thanks for summing up things.
Thats makes me jump back to my initial post, where I proposed a filter setting to deal with bandwith limits.. meaning: fade everything out, thats to big for your connection
I have had a look and from my understanding you will need at least a running windows client in order to make it work.
My setup on the other hand exists of a linux fileserver and a "svn-paired network"-connection, so I dont think this will work.
Hey MovPic Team and loyal fellows,
as you may already saw in the other topic (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/feature-request-filter-by-bandwidth.113438/)
I'm using a remote MP client with moving pictures. That's the reason why I always run into trouble, when buffering movies...
Please add a new filter: "bandwidth (kb/s)"
Bandwidth per Movie = (MovieSize in KB) / (Duration in sec).
Add this filter on your remote clients to consider your internet bandwidth. Voila.
"All Movies with a bandwidth <= 500KB/s"
Here is the issue...
Please add a new filter: "bandwidth (kb/s)"
Given a remote client, this is the only way to filter your movie list to only reflect movies, that can be accessed remotely.
Bandwidth per Movie = (MovieSize in KB) / (Duration in sec). Easy, right? :)
"All Movies with a bandwidth <=...
Sorry, but I dont have this file in my folders
Its also not in the folder on my other client, that runs with a microsoft MCE
strange is, that still runs, but freezes and "has stopped working" after 4-5 remote interactions
i played around with one of my clients and changed the settings for the remote (HUID vs microsoft remote + button definitions) it seemed that the effected xml settings file got broken
whenever i now start the media portal settings, it reports that it could not load the xml file...
is there any progress going on right now?
i couldnt find any related beta of mp 1.3.x since january
while working with some remote clients i would love to see a way to filter your sources for their bitrate or filesize, so that only movies will be listed, that your bandwith could handle...
in the end i went for the Streacom F8B Case.
But it seems its out of stock in the EU, so that i have to wait until the end of july.
I changed the mobo a little bit, because the passive cooled case requires a specific board layout / cpu placement
they list suitable boards on their website
maybe its not cheaper, but its:
needs less cooling
and consumes less power
i would love to get some results from you.
what picu do you use? 90W?
what case do you use? i would be interessted in the form factor/size
and the last thing: how many watts...
I am german as well, so thanks for the effort looking into the prices. ;)
Glad you wrote a more detailled answer, as I was about to order something more expensive, because I was scared to get enough CPU/GPU power.
Thats why one more thing:
Are you using exactly those components with media...
thank you for your time! Can you maybe suggest a specific board/cpu/gpu configuration?
The sandy bridge sounds very handsome. I didnt had a closer look at it though.
50 Euros more for twice or more power is really a good deal ;)
I am in the same spot
I want to buy a solid system for playing all sorts of HD content on low cost/ low power consumption and with no noise at all
therefor i figured i need to get an APU solution
but whenever i read tests, 50% are complaining, that its simply not enough for fullHD and the other...
your test is quiet helpful with all the details.
now i am worried about their conclusion about streaming performance
" Either way, the ZBOX can't be recommended right now for streaming high definition videos despite the presence of GPU acceleration"
damn, i hope the trinity ULV comes out soon...
Coming to stores this month.
Since search didnt return any results on ad11 i figured, some of you havent got the announcement yet.
Biggest plus for me with the new version is:
Optical Digital S/PDIF audio
Even though you have to use the front headphone plugs with a small adapter. still, its...
ouh - that would be sad
many of my movies are way too big, to load them
even with 1+MB / sec you cant go for full HD
any chance to see this in the near future?
if this is about "never collecting personal information", you could also just round the file size up the next 100 mb or so
this is a filter question/ request
while adding a remote source, my client heavly relies the media file size because it can only play, what its internet connection is able to download in the background.
for now i can only play files that are smaller than ~4.500 MB
more tests from my side:
