Hello,

Problem 1 0.2.1.0
I tried to install 0.2.1.0. Installation was sucessfull but configuration kept exiting when scanning TV / radio stations. After that I uninstalled 0.2.1.0

Problem 2 0.2.0.4
I am unable to playback a DVD from a drive. BlueTwo popups the question if there is a DVD in the drive and there is one. After responding with Ok MP crashes.

Log is at http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/11139

What is wrong here? Could this be from installing the 2 versions?

I would not like to install windows again ...

I did some investigation on my own and I was able to reproduce problem 2 (=crashing when a DVD is about to be played):

1. From a fresh install of Mediaportal 0.2.0.4, I can play DVD's using the MPV/MPA codecs.
2. I go to configuration and change the DVD codecs to the Intervideo ones
3. I cannot play a DVD anymore. Mediaportal recognizes that a DVD is inserted in the drive. Wants to play it. Even asks me if I want to continue from the last time and then crashes. The popup with the question if a DVD is in the drive is only a first reaction to the crash
4. Changing in configuration back to the MPV/MPA codecs does not make it work again. The only thing left for me when this problem occurs is to uninstall Mediaportal and install it again.

I would really want to use my intervideo 7 codecs because of the hardware accelaration and the build'in purevideo features so that rendering and postprocessing is done by the Geforce GPU.
Also because I have some other strang problem with MPV/MPA codecs active. When playing certain dvd's the screen goes black and it seems like the video part of the DVD stopped. The audio however continues but I don't see anything.
Those DVD's play fine in Media player, Media Player Classic and WINDVD.

As a temporary workaround I use WINDVD as a external player but I have to get my mouse in order to close the WINDVD and continue with Media Portal.

Hi there,

I seemed to have solved Problem 2. In Configuration -> DVD -> DVD Codec. There is an option "Turn off DxVA (in case you have DVD Navigator issues)". I checked the option and no more crashes afterwards.

That's a relief
