1.4.1 runs, 1.4.2 dosn't run with mce remote (1 Viewer)

Hi,

i have got a problem with the ir server suite 1.4.2 and win 7 x64 (the same in vista x64).

In 1.4.1: after the installation i can use translator (or the Button config in "MP Control Plugin for IR Server") without any changes.

In 1.4.2: after installation translator (or the Button config in "MP Control Plugin for IR Server") doesn't recognize the ir commands.

I am having similar issues to you MaxMan23. As things had stopped working a while ago for me i assumed that it was just me and i needed to reinstall everything a fresh.
I did that this weekend and i still cant get the buttons to work. Some do but not many. I had all features working at one point and cant seem to get back to that at all.
I will uninstall IRSS and try an old version to see if it fixes it.

yes i am on Vista x64, did try win7 x64 this weekend but had so many issues just trying to install MP i gave up. Did a LOT of reading but it is early days.
Will test some more tonight.
I also tried installing IRSS with different versions as MacGyver2k here
but had issues so it could be my install??

Because we switched from AnyCPU to x86 build to make a lot of other plugins work.
We just need to fix that damn MCE receiver code

i did confirm that the new build doesn't work at all, last night. It installs with no errors and will run but when you try and use it it doesn't receive any codes from the remote. This was the tray launcher.

Any idea when the code will be fixed??

Not pushing as i am using the old builds fine at the moment

If there is anything i can do to help let me know. I have both IRSS builds installed and can switch with Acronis

As these Microsoft receivers seem to be used by many. (or maybe people are using a different receiver for there remote?) would it be of any use if i sent you my spare one???
If the Microsoft one is generally viewed as being a bit shoddy with its handling of things what receiver would people recommend?
I am using the Harmony one remote configured as a Microsoft Media Center remote through the Microsoft receiver.

If my spare Microsoft receiver is of use please drop me a PM with postage details and i will gladly send it to you
