When I run MediaPortal my processing power goes to 100% in the My-Videos, My-Trailers, My-TV screens. That is the main screens, not playing anything it goes to 100%. It is perfectly fine in My-Weather, My-Pictures and such. While on these screens my streamzap remote is very, very slow. When I press the down button on my streamzap or my keyboard it can be a second or two before I get the chirp and it moves to the next object. This makes it unusable.

Any ideas?

Here are my stats?

Could be a combination of your processor and a lack of 3d acceleration with your video card. That's a shot in the dark as your specs are mostly blank, but I'd say that has something to do with it.

I have a radeon 7000 pci video card so it does support 3D. Anyway the screen is static, so nothing is being updated so 3D is not doing anything.

This is not DX9 compatible, which MP uses for it's GUI.

Please read the specifications for running MediaPortal found here

And these are the minimum you may get away with or not, depending on ALL your hardware\driver factors.

3D acceleration refers more to actually being able to utilize your GPU. If the card doesn't support DX9 then you have NO 3D acceleration in any program that uses DX9. Just because it is a static screen doesn't mean that it's not being rendered in real time.
