The title of this thread should explain my problem.

I have tried every combination of the following codecs: CoreAVC 2.0, shark codecs, cyberlink PDVD 10 codecs, Microsoft DTV-Decocer. I have spent more than a week trying solutions and reading forums but no luck.

I am planning on using mediaportal and tv server primarilly (I want to get rid of windows media center).

If anyone can help, I will be glad to try your suggestions (a clean windows 7 install will be my last resort but I would have to be sure that nothing else could help).

I would also like to know if SAF 4.0 can resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, this is not completely true. I was actually impatient to run the test for more than 2min.

It is true that it takes 100% CPU usage but after 1-2min it jumps down to 17-27% SDTV and 20-45% HDTV using CyberLink.
which is awsome. When I use CoreAVC for HDTV, CPU is 32-45% and picture quality is great.

I am using SAF 5 and CoreAVC at the moment.

here is my configuration:

SDTV : ffdshow

HDTV : CyberLink PowerDVD

Videos : ffdshow

H.264 : CoreAVC

The only hitch I am getting right now is no SPDIF audio when playing .mp4.
