It often happens when my HTPC resumes, the desktop is in 16bit color. Due to this picture quality (TV and Video) are bad and DVD playback gives issues. I have to manually reset the color to 32bit. I don't know why my desktop reverts to 16bit (though I have my suspicions under investigation).

Is there a program or batchfile, that sets the desktop to 32bit color automatically when resuming or after a reboot? Or is there a setting in the refresh rate changer I can use so my desktop is forced to 32bit?
