Hey,
I'm on my way to building a MediaPC. I was thinking about either making a backend server and putting the beta on that. Or just running MP in the backround of my regular computer since my TV is in the same room anyway.
So, long story short, I was wondering how RAM and processor it will take up. I'll be running on a 3.0 Dual Core AMD with 2 Gigs RAM. I'm just wondering if I'll be able to have this running, maybe recording a program, while I'm off doing something else or playing a game.
Also another question was on the point of launching games from MP. I was wondering if a game like Counter-Strike Source would be able to be launched from MP.

First question: Yes that should be fine although if you're recording HDTV then be sure the drive access is fast enough with the work you're doing in the background.
You could also use TVServer for this also.

Yes you can launch games easily enough from MP using My Programs. I do this for my son so he can easily navigate to games especially emulators and such.
