I was wondering if I've overlooked it or not. I've done some searching here but can't find anything. I'm able to record 2 shows at once without "tv on" on. I can watch 1 and record 1 with it on. I'm having no problems. I just wondered if there was a way to record 2 shows at the same time with the "tv on" option on. With other pvr's that have dual tuners, they simply force you to watch one of the shows. Thanks!

    Hi,
Depends which MP version you use, MP 0.2.3.0 with old TV engine you need to go into scheduled recordings & click on the one which is recording now & view from etc(if i remember correct)..... If you use TVE3 you should see in the mini guide which you can look @ (it states that it is timeshifting).

    Regards

I am using MP .2.3.0. With "tv on" on, whenever I try to schedule a recording at the same time as the other, I get a recording conflict with the other scheduled recording. If I turn off "tv on" I don't get a conflict message. I either have to cancel the previous recording or not record the current recording.

Maybe I've got something setup wrong, but I'm still getting the conflict error. Am I even able record 2 shows at once with tv and time shifting on? I have confirmed that I can watch 1 channel and record another. Thanks for any ideas guys!

Yes, should not be a problem.

When you are setting up the recording that causes the conflict are you on that actual TV channel (either) that is to be recorded, should not make a difference if you are or are not on one of the channels, but would be interesting to know.

Might be worthwhile running the MPTestTool (found in your programs\mediaportal list) and posting logs using advance forum features to upload.

I am able to schedule 2 simultaneous recordings from my web based epg just fine. I had 3 recording at the same time, checked conflicts, had them, removed one recording and the conflicts were gone. Looking at me epg now, I have college basketball and desperate housewives both set to record during the same time. I also have the 2 HS Football AA games recording at the same time tomorrow. Same thing, had to schedule them through the web. Why can I schedule 2 shows from the web and not directly from MP? That doesn't make any sense...

I will try running the MPTestTool tomorrow morning... Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the suggestions... I didn't try those though, because when I switched from xface (i think it's the orginal version) to the bluetoo wide, my problems disappeared. Also with xface I was experiencing one of the tuners during a dual recording would end up being a recording of STO (cleveland indians channel) from 30 minutes prior to new years eve every time. When I switched back to bluetoo, that was fixed also. I saw there was a new version of XFace, so I may try that one and see what happens... That STO thing really had me miffed because it wasn't even what was being showed at that time. I had 2 recordings, that were recorded simultaneously with another on the dates 1/5 and 1/6, and they both were showing a show from 12/31. Didn't make any sense, but like I said, when I switched themes, that problem went away... I scheduled another 2 simultaneous recordings from the web just to make sure...

Thanks for your help Paranoid, I really appreciate it!!

Make sure you delete the xface skin, not only from the skins folder, but also the cached folder as well.

Must admit do not remember a wrong recording post in xface skins own thread.

Yes should always suggest trying things with MP's default BlueTwo skins before reporting, my mistake.

Hope everythings fine now, if it is xface that continues to be a problem, report it on Harleys xface thread.

    Thanks
