Hi Caesium: You fixed it!! Thanks a lot! But there is one downside to this, the picture becomes unstable (a bit like an old 50hz CRT screen), because it's no longer reducing the blur, only the judder. I tried a few 24p movies (Hugo and Avatar) and in both movies I see that the picture is no longer smooth. I tried all other settings suggested in this link: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/popup/iframe/pop_troubleshooting_fr.jsp?idx=167385&modelname=LN46C750R2F&modelcode=&session_id=NjC1Lw8vRg2Cjycf5QvnDhTLs14W2j43BjDHp3y2kSJGM1ZnJ012!-1826039379!1761676444!7501!-1!NONE!1298367221195 but the only setting that removes the 'hop' issue is Clear. My eyes are sensitive somehow, my wife didn't even notice the difference till I showed her the demo where the screen is split. For now I've set it back to smooth and I guess I have to live with the fact that a 24p movie is 'hopping' from time to time. If you have more suggestions on the settings of the Samsung screen...thanks in advance.
