    Hi all,

I have added a 2nd tv card (asus) and configuration seems to be ok in windows device manager and in the MP tv server.
I also have assigned the existing tv channels to this card but it does not receive a signal even though I have connected an antenna cable to this card as well.

During configuration, I got a ffdshow message window asking whether I wanted to use it or not (this is the first time I see this).
After configuring the 2nd card, I have restarted the tv service and the pc but no difference.

    Am I missing something?

    P.

Have you tried the automatic channel tuning on the second card? I've got two cards in my machine, but they're both identical, so I know that if I tune one I can then assign the channels to the second card and it works OK. Not sure if it's exactly the same process with two cards that are not the same model.

Also, as you'll see in just about every second thread ..... if you post your log files, then that will certainly help someone help you. You'd probably want to get separate log files for when you watch a channel using one card, then when you try and watch a channel with the other card.

It might also be an idea to disable the card that's currently working, and see if you can get the other card working on its own - if you can get it to that point, then there's probably a good chance it will continue to work when you re-enable the first card.

    Cheers,
    Craig

    Hi!

Could you explain how your connection between antenna and cards are done? Have you used an amplifier and/or splitter? What Im thinking of is that u can have signal problems due to bad "connection"?
Have u tried to connect one card at the time?

You might thought about all this, in that case dont mind my questions ;)

    Regards,
    /tompa

Hi craigparris1, thank you for your tip on the log files - hadn't thought of that
Which logfile would be needed for this issue?
What is the best/easiest way to disable a tv card without messing up to much - I already had some issues with recording on the working one after adding the 2nde card.

No, I had not tried automatic channel tuning. Will do so and post back.

tompa: I'm using a splitter which works fine for TV and HTPC - took the cable intended for TV to test the 2nd card.
Do you mean to feed the antenna signal to just 1 card, in this case the added one?
