Has anyone tried the following cards in combination.
Hauppauge t500, TD500 and hvr1110.
I have all three cards each work successfully on their own. They scan record and wake from hibernation S3.
When I try the second and third togeter they find channels and record three items at once but on trying to wake from hibernation S3 get a no signal on all.
Before trouble shooting I just wondered if anyone had sucess with any combination?

    Hi Alan

I don't have any of those cards, but since nobody has commented...
Do the first and second card work fine together? I guess you're aware that the T500 driver can take a fair amount of time to start up after resume. I'd post logs...

Hi, thanks for replying. So far have only tried the last two together . The first the t500, is with my son who is testing a machine he is setting up. So I wont have it for a few days.
I will post logs when I try but first wanted a) to see if anyone had tried. and b) get a second tv lead to my machine to avoid it being a weak signal being the problem for fail first time.
I have read in a very old post that 2 td500 will not work together, ie not recognised when resume from S3. Have posted on Hauppauge forum but have had no conformation of this.
I am aware of the delay problem of recognising the t500, this also seems to be the same with the td500, so I have set a 60second delay. This works with one card in the machine. When the HVR1110 is installed they all pick up the same channels and I can record 3 programs at the same time but when I hibernate S3, on restart I get a no signal error when I try to watch live tv. Nothing records.
I will start more testing when I have the second lead to my tv card.

    Hmmm, okay.
Cheers for the detailed explanation. :D
I'd be happy to look at logs for any of the non-working configurations any time.

    Hi Alan

The T500 needs a minimum of 20 seconds delay before being detected and reinitialised, this depends on how fast your hardware is, below that, it really becomes hit & miss whether the card is detected properly on resume from standby, other than that it works perfectly for me.

Regarding 4 tuners, believe this could be a driver problem that hauppauge are unwilling to solve, 3 work, 4 does not.

    Hi pd,
I have a gigabyte p41t with intel E6700 processor so speed shouldnot be an issue. I have had all three of the cards working individually. I gave the td500 and the t500 a 60sec delay as this was what worked on an older slower system, guessing that more delay wouldnt matter. I use the default padding,7 before 10 after, so no problems with a longer delay.
I had seen a posts elsewhere metioning that two td500's, 4 tuners were not supported by Hauppauge and never would be. This was why I tried the TD500 with the Hvr1110. only 3 tuners. but although they worked and recorded would not do so after a S3 wake.
I was going to try with a second lead from the atic amplifier, there are 4 available. as the signal may be borderline with more than 2 from one lead. I didn't want to start a long trouble shooting until I was sure that the problem wasnt due to a poor signal.
I was just hopeing that some one had already tried these two and could say yes or no. The t500 was an afterthought as it came withe a linux box my youngest son had built. He passed away 12 months ago. I know he had tried it with another tuner but alas he left no notes!

Hi, I have now installed 2 cards the HVR1110 and td 500.
To reproduce this I did a clean install of MP1.2rc.
Put the machine into hibernate (S3). resumed the pc in debugmade. manually tried to record 3 programs. the first 2 started but I got a no signal on the 3rd.
Exactly the same happened last evening when I programmed 3 to record. only 2 recorded the third failed

Before the clean install I tried Hauppauge's own Wintv 7, the latest version. I found that exactly the same happens in there. On checking it showed that it was using the HVR1110 and one tuner of the TD500. I have double checked and the arial lead is attached to the upper conection, the one for dual tuner setup.
In the Hauppauge set up on start menu there is an icon for dual channel or diversity mode. It was set to dual chanel by default.

I have attached the Watchdog logs.
    I hope that they assist.

    Hi Alan

Those logs are *looooooooooonnnnng*! Looks like you may have the Powerscheduler running out of control there. I find it very difficult to see anything much, although I do see that you're using "pause" mode with all your tuners. If I were you I'd turn that off (at least while testing), and make sure you turn on the Powerscheduler reinitialise TV Server on resume option.

Havealtered the two items as you sugested. Tomorrow we have our first stage of final switch over. final date is the 20th when everything will hopefully be finalised with an increase in power.
I will start again when this is completed

An update on my findings so far.
Ihave now got the t500 in my possesion and have tried it in my work machine:
    Foxcom MCP61M2MA
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 32bit
    Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
    AMD 4000+ 64bit dual core 2.11ghz
    Total Physical Memory 3,072.00 MB
    Graphics Nvidia GeForce 9800gt
    Seagate baracuda sata HD 149gb

    Tv card 1
Hauppauge HVR1110 (recognised as HVR1100 single tuner
Tv card 2 Hauppauge nova t500 dual tuner 99101 LF rev D8B5

I Have only two pci slots in this machine. Installed HVR 1110 in first slot. After a lot of faffing managed to get it recognised but as a 1100. Installed the t500 in the last slot. It was first recognised as a Hauppauge FWdownloader but updating the driver and it was recognised as Nova DT dual tuner.
All tuners scanned the new frequencies.
I set up 3 programmes to record and this happened successfully. Not the test which failed with the previous set up.
I again programmed 3 to record and Hibernated S4(I have been referring to S3 previously but meant S4). The pc fired up correctly and recorded all 3 as setup.Conclusion. These 2 cards, three tuners, work successfully together in this Pc.
My next test will be in my specific TV machine with the two double tuner cards. Will post to let you know what happens.

Incidentall I did try the above with Hauppauge Wintv 2.4 but it would not run, Or at least I gave up after waiting %mins for it to Open. With Mediaportal it was a success as you see.

MM, Another thanks for all your help with this and other matters:D

    !2.10pm 25th
Hope I am not being precipitate, Have put the T500, as detailed above, together with my TD500 in the HTPC machine and have 4 tuners recognise. Can record on 4 different MUX's. Have doe same test from S4 hibernate and so far all 4 record. If I find any change with long usage will update.

Thanks many times over for Mediaportal support
