First of all when I go to config to set up the player and try t to select MVP or ffdshow as the decoder for anything they aren't in the drop down lists. How do I fix this? Also in the ffdshow video decoder config from my understanding I need to set AviSynth to AviSynth. Right now it is set to disabled and the is nothing to change it to. I think maybe that is what is leading to my next problem. When i play avi files they at some random point in the movie will lock up. if I wait a few min the audio will start but its way out of sync with the video when it starts. HELP!!

OK first part is fixed. I uninstalled everything to do with MP and reinstalled and finally got FFDshow in the drop downs and selected them. But I am still having the other issues. The most aggravating of which is the .avi freezing. Any Ideas? Bad guesses? Hunches? What have you?
