Maybe US DirecTV users will finally have an option other than STB -> analog card:

Who knows about the drivers for thing thing, DRM, etc.

I'm guessing they will try to make it impossible to use without MCE just like the ATI/CableCard tuner.

There is another solution available already. I have no experience with it but saw this thread earlier last year.
