Hi everyone,
Here is the problem: I've been using MediaPortal for about, I guess, two years or at least an year and a half by now...
The last version I used was 0.2.3.0 with SVN and all that stuff.. together, of couser with MCE Replacement Plugin...
The plugin always worked fine (THANK'S A LOT!!!), after some minor problems...
As (because of Windows) you always have to reinstall the system after some time, I used to keep a copy of my IR codes (its a RCA box for Sky, here in Brazil). I have used the same codes always, and it worked just fine...
My first problem is that in the new plugin version (same problem with the IR Suite, latest versions and test versions), the blast function does not work anymore...
After some testing to try to isolate the problem, and after reinstalling MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 (I lost the plugin version for 0.2.3.0 that worked for me, I guess it was a version between 1.0.3.1 - that, by the way, is still working just fine - and the new 1.0.4.1 and the latest test version), I tested the blast function again using MRP 1.0.3.1 and it all worked just fine... using the same IR codes with MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 and MRP 1.0.4.1 I was not successfull - I notice the interface changed a little... now you have to use Blast-B0 and before it was something like IR/B0(so it's not a learning problem), and I reconfigured the plugin to the new interface... anyway, I tried to test directly the old IR codes and the blast diod lights up but no change is observed at the STB...
As you see, in one version (1.0.3.1) the blast works just fine.. in the other (1.0.4.1 or the latest test build), it just does not work... I also have to say that I tried to re-learn the codes, and the same problem happened - the light flashed in the blaster but no action was observed in the STB. As a last test for the new versions, I also tried to learn my TV remote codes, and, for my TV the blast function worked JUST FINE!?!!??
So, I have to ask you for some help, because it is the kind of strange problem that I see no solution (at all)...
It is not a learning problem (cause I can learn the TV remote codes and also at least learn the STB remote codes), and, at least for my TV, it's not a blast problem, 'cause I can change my TV channels... The problem is just with the blast function with my STB in those latest versions... With version 1.0.3.1, it worked just fine with the STB and also with the television (by the way, I just want to change my STB channels... I only used the television as a black box test).
So, if you could, I'd like to ask you a favor:
1) could you please (PLEASE( send me a compiled version of MCP 1.0.3.1 that works with MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 SVN and not SVN?? As (and I'm blaming myself very hard for that) I lost it... I have no other choice but to ask you for that... if it's possible to have such a MRP version that works (I guess it's just a signature problem) with MediaPortal RC1 SVN, it would be even better!!!
2) I'm sending the IR codes for my STB that works just fine with MRP 1.0.3.1 (and also worked with the MRP version targeted to MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 SVN) to you so you can see if is there anything different at all (I guess not)...
3) I'm also sending the log files for MRP 1.0.4.1 (working with MediaPortal 0.2.3.0-Stable), so you can take a look... I noticed nothing strange at all - again, the blast lights up, works with my TV but does not work with my STB.
So you see: it must have been some change in the code (I guess at the blast function) between those versions that chaged the behavior of MRP (at least with my STB).
To you to know, I using a quite standard HTPC hardware (a Pentium HT, Intel Motherboard, etc) with a Hauppauge 150MCE (so with the Microsoft Remote and Transceiver), and a silverstone enclosure.
Also, in the trial process, I noticed some strange things:
a) in neither versions the blast worked (I guess it never worked before, but I had not noticed that) using BOTH as a selection for the blast port (it works selecting Port 1 or Port 2 - of course if you have the emitting diod connected to the right port).
b) in the IR suite, the IR learning toll (IR file, I guess), does not allow the selection of a blast port different from BOTH - it has the dialog selection, but it alway come back to the BOTH selection... - so it's not possible to try the codes in the tool for a specific blasting port. In the TV3 plugin, anyway, the blast port selection works just fine...
PS: I just noticed that I have the logs for the IR Suite... I'll post them, cause it's the same problem after all...
Best regards and sorry for the quite long explanation.
