a Simple Configuration problem (1 Viewer)

I was wondering how does one configure mediaportal to use all the MCE Remote buttons

only a few seem to function, so i can only assume, it has not been set up to use the rest of them

All MCE buttons should work just by enabling the MCE remote in MP config -> remotes

If this does not work, please provide info about remote and OS.

the direction buttons and middle button work, its a standard MCE remote, 2005 Microsoft Model 1039

buttons like play fastfoward skip, and most important "BACK" do not function

the os is xp sp3, legit and with bitdefender etc

Are you certain you ticked the "MCE remote" checkbox in configuration? Sounds exactly like thats the problem.

The direction/ok button always work because all the do is send keyboard commands.

well I think I did, I could be mistaken as there is a lot of acronyms I am not familiar with, can you do a screen shot of the appropriate box’s ?
