About the capture graph, demux and TIF filter (1 Viewer)

I wonder why you use the Tee, ms demuxer and the TIF filter in the capture graph. I have seen other aplications connect the capture filter directly to the capture device like this:

Network Provider -> Tuner -> Capture -> Capture Filter

I read some place that the TIF filter slows down stuff, because it parses many unnecessary tables.

Ok
I`m not sure this will speed things up. But the TvServer will at least use less resources, and maybe the channel scan will be faster also.
I think the tuning will be the hardest part to implement on a custom NP filter.
Lets hope the developers will post their opinions about this subject.

Im playing with DS filters myself, but it takes time to get familiar with COM and DS, for a c++ beginner like me.
