Dear Forum members,

I have an Acer Vertiton PC, cause its nice and small. Everything works fine, including the remote with a simple Serial LIRC sensor and some software from uICE.
I run XP Sp3.

The only problem is that when i view a movie , doesnt matter wich format, it shows the movie with two yellow horisontal bars and lots of vertical lines Green and Blue. Strange is that when i interrupt the movie and start up again, i have fine picture for about 10 ceconds.

I have updated the Windows Mediaplayer to 11
I have tried another screen
I have tried updating the updates of the direct X for XP ( August 2009 and February 2010)

I have no video TV out, but am using VGA output.

please if anybody has an idea,

regards
Bert

I would check the manufacturers website for updated drivers, as you don't state exact model, cannot point you to right place.

    Hi Ray,

    Thanks for your reaction,

My model is L480G, and i have indeed installed the most recent drivers. I could still see if the Bios can be updated....

I also did the check with Filmerit program and fixed the registry errors (5) it showed.

I did NOT reboot, but the problem remained. I attached the logs as advised and also a screendump.

I hope you have more tips...

    regards Bert

Can you try EVR as renderer, as this is a newer pc system pretty certain it would bebefit from having Win7 as OS.

The other thing is, try changing video codecs output, ie YUV12 etc to another one, does that make a difference.
