    MediaPortal Client - Mini ITX
    TV-Server Version: 1 - Latest SVN
MediaPortal Version: 1 - Latest SVN
    MediaPortal Skin: Blue3 Wide
    Windows Version: XP Pro
CPU Type: Embedded (Can't remember but not AMD or Intel)
    HDD: 40GB Laptop SATA drive
    Memory: 2GB
    Motherboard: Jetway Mini ITX
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9200 (PCI)
    Video Card Driver: Catalyst™ 6.11
    Sound Card: On board AC97

    Hi,

I have just installed an old ATI Radeon 9200 because the on board chrome's drivers were not able to cut the mustard on recent MP versions.

After some messing around, I got it working and started MediaPortal.

Everything seemed fine, but attempting to playback video failed. I could hear the audio, but the video was nowhere to be seen.

I unchecked MP watchdog and this allowed me to see that there was a video window entitled "ActiveMovie Window" (I think).

After changing settiungs to stop MP from always being on top, I could see the window. Perfect in time and clear picture but windowed and separate from MP.

MP can then only be controlled by shutting and opening it.

I have re-installed MP and repair installed Windows.

Does anyone know if there is a solution to this? I am using the latest SVN, but it may not be the cause of the problem.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I recently upgraded to Vista, and I have now seen this happening twice with MP1.0 & VMR9.

    With XP & MP1.0 & VMR9 this never happened.

    I have 780G chipset (integrated ATI HD3200).

On Vista you should be using EVR not VMR9
