    Memory: 512mb
    Motherboard Chipset: i845
    Video Card: HIS ati 9550
    Video Card Driver: Catalyst 6.5
Video Codec Type & Version: Don't remember. Standard MP
Audio Codec Type & Version: Don't remember. Standard MP
TV Card 1: Sapphire Theatrix 550
    TV Card Type: hardware
    TV Card Driver: 6.14.10.134
    TV Card 2: Hauppauge HVR-1300
    TV Card Type: hardware/DVB-T
TV Card Driver: Not sure. The latest I found on www.hauppauge.co.uk

I dont know if this is a hardware or software issue, but i suppose it is software related.

Synopsis: The picture on the analogue part of my Hauppauge card is much darker than the theatrix card. I have tried to adjust brightness in mediaportal/database/card_cardX.xml. When I try to set the brightness values to different levels and start up MP, the picture is still to dark or to bright, and when I edit the card_cardX.xml files after closing MP, the brightness values are now identical.

I have also tried Christweak and MCE video settings (http://mcevideosettings.oabsoftware.nl/index.php). Neither of which worked. The brightness was always reset by MP or Windows.

Is there a way to adjust brightness on each card separatly?

    regards

    Andreas

    Hi,
Try to apply a SVN version found here: http://svn.team-mediaportal.com/. Read the page before applying the SVN.

NB! You have to remove & re add your card in MP Setup -> Television -> Capture Cards after the SVN...

There was some problem a time back that causes this to happen, this should be fixed, if not post back again. :D

I don't think your problem it's the same as the first one, there was a bug which caused the hvr 1300 to give darker picture than others. In some situation (card priority) the hvr 1300 was fine & the other card to bright, but this one it's solved (remove / re adding cards its needed).....

Can post a picture of your screen & how it should be?

    Regards

sorry to hijack the thread if it wasn't the same prob. And I guess it wasn't . I just wanna adjust the brightness and contrast casue vmr gives me "muddier!!" picture than overlay, but nothing happens when I try to adjust.
My question is really-Should it work to adjust brightness and contrast still?

can't give u a screenshot not at home, but a screenshot wont help I guess.
