    Summary:
The Linux Video Disk Recorder (VDR) have a feature called Autotimer or Searchtimer with advanced rules to create automated schedules based on a keyword to search the EPG data.

    Area:
    TV

    Description:
    The configurable rules are:
    -Keyword
    -Exclude program titles
    -Search in title
    -Search in description
    -Channel range
    -Weekdays
    -Starttime timerange
    -Number of recordings
    -Time to keep
    -Action (record, switch, notify)
    -Active/Passive
All rules are configurable with the remote on the main osd. The build in search function of Mediaportal have not enough flexibility to handle this features. So i wish to have this feature in Mediaportal.
    Regards, Netexplorer.

If you don't want to wait for this to be integrated into MP you can install For the Record. It already has support for everything you mention and a management console to create the schedules and rules.

Yes, i know about For the Record, but what i think is, that it require too many changes in the system and within Mediaportal it is only possible to create a basic schedule so you have to open the management console to define advanced rules.

Unfortunately we have only few active developers so there haven't been any free capacity amongs the developers to even look at the advanced scheduling for TVE3.

New skilled developers are always welcome to the team :)

I would get a developer, but actualy i'm not familiar with C#, so i have to learn it first. In the past while i became a technician, i learn a bit to program C. So it should not take a long time to learn.
