Hi all,

again trouble with these damm timeshift/graph error message.
Hi-band channels like Pro7 are not scanned - when I manually import them I get the error. See my posting at:

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...star-hd2-timeshift-graph-problem-again-58233/

Meanwhile I also changed the TV card. Same problem with Terratec S2 PCI HD.

Attached the log. Maybe someone can have a look at it.

Well, after 150 hits an no respronse to this thread, I did some further testing and give now some (new?) answers ;)

Generally my timeshift / graph probem results from being behind a multiswitch, which is typical and nothing special. The published sat channel lists (see forum) are not working in this hardware configuration and calls that error. ( in my case I have to scan Diseqc "None" and also "Simple A" for the Astra 19 and Eutelsat 13 satelite ) Even thow, new channel scans are not working in MP properly - instead of other TV Software! ( the "nothing found" problem ) I need to change the Astra config file, entering each transponder manually, restart several times the tv service to get all Astra channels scaned. This all is mentions in the official forum as well.
So now News ...

... So- no bug ?
- It depends: If MP is a piece of software, only to be used by pros, sat freaks and computer specialists and only by special configuration, than NO BUG

- On the other hand: putting in a more intelligent scanning engine will reduce frustrating user posts to the forum and will help to spread this software to the world. YES, is is buggy

- Conclusion: I tested 3 tv cards, called a TV technican to check the TV signal, spend at least 300 hours to get MP working. And, YES, now the Alpha giving me a a TV screen! Some minor questions last and keep up unresolved but the Devs are working to solve these things.
I will stay at MP also in the future due to the massive features - nevertheless it is hard to get them ...

Cheers

    Hi,
I don't get whats wrong in this post, in the link posted in first post it's about drivers not compatible with 4 gig of memory & X64(known issue for some tuner card manufactures) & not something which MP can do about, in this post it's about "frustration", but whats the real problem(is it about Diseq switch) & what can MP Team do about it exactly & is the issue fixed or not or what ;) ?

    Regards
    Roy
