    Hi,

I'm looking for a new video card for my desktop PC and need some advice from you hardware gurus ;)

    Requirements:
    -AGP slot
    -Passive cooled
    -DVI out
    -TV (S-Video) out
-Don't spend much more than 100 Euro

From my first looks I think the NVidia GeForce 7600GS series will fit my needs pretty well. Any opinions on those cards? Asus for example has a passive cooled 7600GS for about 110 Euro which looks nice.

I found only a few passive cooled ATI cards. Does NVidia have more or do I just not find the ATI? ;)

And a last question: I currently have an ATI Radeon 9800. How would a card from the above mentioned class compare to it? Better, equal, much worse?!? ;)

    Thanks for your answers!

I belive ATi cards are (ATM) more power hungry than nVidia, so there are few (noen?) passive ATi cards.

The 7600GS is a good choice, since it supports most PureVideo features:

You colud also buy this -->

... and this way get your card passive :D .. probably cost you, though.

I am currently running 6200 (AGP) myself (barebone HTPC ) - and since I only got a 28"CRT (NO COMMENT PLEASE!!!) and STB->S-video , I currently see no need to upgrade ATM, but I have been following the AGP-marked.
