Hi to you all! my first post here... :D

I have been looking around ALOT, on this forum and on others... I still havent found out what card to buy for my MP...

I want dual functionality, HDTV (in future), DVB-S and DVB-T perhaps also Analoge (in case of connectin my Dreambox to it)

I have ben looking at two alternatives, can you plz tell me they are totaly wrong or if they are good enough, tnx!

1. Single card solution: HAUPPAUGE WINTV HVR 4000 DVB-T/S/S2 HDTV
2. Multi card solution: Pinnacle PCTV Dual Sat Pro PCI DVB-S, PVR + a simple analogue card of some type...

a penny for your thoughts!

Ok...

Well lets attack this issue from an other point of view... I would like to have my MP (incl. MP server and all) to get access to my satellite dish... would like it to be dual enable... i shuold be able to handle encrypted channels... with CI (i guess)
What might be the best card for that?

Can anyone here recommend to use multiple cards or is a 1 multicard a better solution?

For DVB-s and analogue i personally would go for 2 seperate cards, the hauppauge hardware encoded seems to be the choice of many for analogue.

As for DVB-s i'm in the same boat as you, want cam support as well. not sure whether a floppydtv is what i want though. hopefully someone will give a more meaningful reason for a particular make, especially supporting ss2.
