Analog TV-Card for recording (1 Viewer)

Hello,

currenty i have a Hauppauge WinTV Express (BT878) card installed in my HTPC but it seems that it is defect because i have a very distorted video picture if i switch to fullscreen in MyTV and diagonal lines are overlayed in the image. It was a present from my collegue and he already mentioned that it might be that it is defect.

Can anybody give me a recommendation for an analog card with which i can record Free-TV ? I do not need something special like HDTV but only want to record in mpeg(2).

What's about the PVR-150 or PVR-250, will they fit my requirement ?

Hi,

imho the Hauppauge PVRs will be the right decision. The PVR 150 works very well with MP. The picture quality is good.

What's about those cheap analog cards with Brooktree chipset. Do they also do their job or do they cause problems with recording ?
