I have a problem with one channel, Animal Planet HD, the streaming file is empty but the raw file contains data which is playable with VLC.

If i look at the raw data with mediainfo it gives me the following info:

    Menu ID : 39020 (0x986C)
    Format : AVC
    Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec

    Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 4 frames
    Format settings, GOP : M=1, N=24
    Codec ID : 27
    Duration : 1mn 19s
    Width : 1 920 pixels
    Height : 1 080 pixels
    Display aspect ratio : 16:9
    Frame rate : 25.000 fps
    Color space : YUV
    Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
    Bit depth : 8 bits
    Scan type : Interlaced
Scan order : Top Field First
    Color primaries : BT.709-5, BT.1361, IEC 61966-2-4, SMPTE RP177

I don't know if this is the problem, but i thought it would help ....

As requested by tourette, i will attach the tsreader.log and the tswriter.log.

I hope someone can help me with this one.

If more info is needed, please let me know

    TIA

    Louis

    Could you do following tests?

    1) record Animal Planet HD channel for few minutes - does that file play ok with VLC?
    2) if the file played ok, try to play it from My Videos - does it play now ok under MP?

    Hi Tourettes,

The recording also has 0 bytes :-(
I can play the raw file (which is created using the debug option in the tvserver) in VLC.
But if i place the raw file in the Videos directory and play it from there in MP it gives me a codec error.
    Unable to play raw_paket_dump.ts
    video codec: AVC
    audio codec: MPEG AUDIO

I'll attach the complete mediainfo from the raw data.

    good luck

    Louis

But is then most likely in the TsWriter.

TsReader doesn't support playback of full TS MUX data so it shouldn't work.

Can anyone else reproduce the playback issue with Animal Planed HD?
