    Hi,

I could not figure out how to switch off the OSD of Common Interface which is always poping-up asking to check my rights upon channel changes!

I have a Floppy-DTV S2 with Aston module and Canalsat France Mediaguard. In TV Server I can access the CI Menu but when I want to check the rights, they never show up. That may be causing the problem.
However I think we should be able to hide the OSD.
    :D

No it is trying to check if my subscription to the TV provider is valid. That means that if I have valid rights to descramble the channel. However even if it cannot connect to the CI menu (only the Rights menu, other CI menu works) the channel is correctly descramble and I can watch it.

But it is annoying to press OK everytime I change channel to get rid off the OSD about checkings rights.

PS: why I have been moved to new comers?

    Thanks.

Because you posted in the bugreports section, and your thread is nowhere near following the guideline.
alternative would have been to delete the thread. :p

I have allready send the developer who created the CI menu a message. he should have a look soon.

    Thanks morpheus_xx,

I could reproduce 3 problems more or less associated to CI Menu reading with FloppyDTV-S2.

1/ Open TV Server configuration, go to CI menu. I manage to browse the CI menu of my module Aston up to the point where I try to read my channels rights. Then the menu is waiting forever an answer from the module.

2/ Following action 1/ I start mediaportal. Then start a channel which is playing descrambled fine. Switch to another channel then the CI Menu OSD pops up asking to check my TV rights. Then this will happen whatever channel I am changing even the one that works right on the 1st time.

3/ After reboot. Start Mediaportal. On 1st Channel, the CI menu OSD pops up asking to check rights. Press OK. Nothing happens. Channel does not play and back to TV guide. Replay same channel or another one then everything plays fine without pop-up for any successive channels.

I hope this will help. Here are the 3 logs.
    Good luck.

hmm, I can't see issues this way.

I will compile a debug build with more useful logging, then you might re-test to get clearer log files

please replace your tvlibrary (backup before!) with the attaced debug build.

then post new tv.log. be warned, logging is quite verbose now ;)

one additional question: can you configure your CAM not to send so many requests/information?

Here is the TV.Log of the following scenario.
    Reboot.
    AutoStart TVServer and Mediaportal.
Go to 1st Channel (TF1) : everything good no osd pop-up
Go to 2nd Channel (France 2): OSD pop-up Audio crypted - Check your rights
    2nd CHannel is playing.
    OK
    Go to 3rd channel
    Same pop-up CI menu
    Channel is playing correctly.
    OK
    Exit Mediaportal.

in the log the CI menu appears several time.

I do not know how to configure my CAM to send less request. Could you explain?

    Thank you for your effort.

In TV-Server Configuration, where you see your TV-Card(s) you also see a CI tab.
Inside that tab you can enter the CAM menu, maybe it does contain a option to reduce the amount of requests. :)
