I have a simple dvb-t usb stick for recording my TV. I see that this tv engine allows us to record more than one channel with just the one card if the channels are on the same transponder.

My question is, are all uk freeview channels on the same transponder???

Thanks that is a great list. At least now I know which channels can be recorded at the same time. I dont suppose you know if I got my freeview from an old skytv box, if the channels will then appear on one multiplex?

a "skytv box" is NOT DVB-T.

sky would be either analogue satellite (old)... or digital satellite (DVB-S).
this is totally different to DVB-T.

I have no idea what you mean by that.

You cannot connect an external box to the digital portion of a DVB-T (freeview) card, only to the analogue capture part. If you do this you will only get the single channel the box is tuned to. You will also have to control the box using an IR blaster (or similar).

There is no way to merge MUX's. if you want access to channels on seperate MUX's then get more DVB-T cards. simple as that.
