Any TechnoTrend Budget users around? Please help! (1 Viewer)

I have a TT busget 1500-C (DVB-C) it is working nice and I get german Premiere paytv,

but almost after each reboot the card fails.
It normally shows up with two devices under device manager:
A capture device and a tuner device.

The capture device is ok, but the tuner device does not start-up and shows a yellow exclamation mark. It says "cannot start device, code 10"

The only workaround is to deinstall the drivers, restart the box and reinstall.. most of the time it works, sometime I need several approaches.

I talked to TT already, they send me an updated driver, but to no luck..

I use th most up to date BDA drivers. Does anyone know this strange behaviour?

BTW: I use a mainboard with VIA chipset, might this be the problem? There is not much to configure in BIAS.

By colleague is experiencing the same problem, he has a NOVA-S also on a VIA board..

During the last install of my box, I did NOT install the VIA drivers for the motherboard as they gave strange problems during the last install before, so I thought best is to go with the drivers XP came with..

Please.. help..

i had same problem here, i resolved changing my motherboard ...from via based board to nforce based board............ with nforce430 no porblem with pvr150 and tt-1500 @same time

Hi jcee,
I have the same tuner you have and also a VIA motherboard. I had some problems with BDA driver version 4.4.10.12 I got BSOD every time MP tried to start the tuner. Then I changed to a older version 4.4.10.11 and it has been working for me ewer since. I have not tried the latest version 4.4.10.17 yet.

I still have the 4.4.10.11 saved on my hdd if you want to try it.

What version are you using?
