Any way to show shortcuts in MP? (1 Viewer)

I'd like to create a background app that maintains a folder of shortcuts to the last 10 movies copied on the movie server, but need a way to click the shortcuts under MP videos and play the movie (as if clicking the movie itself).

Anyone know a way to do this?

playing shortcuts (.LNK) would be great for TV series' that have a few feature films associated with them, particularly anime and sci-fi programmes

You can set mediaportal to show LNK files but it will not follow the links and actually play the media.

Nor will it follow links to folders.

This would be great for me as i like things organised but am running out of room. Having my files where they will fit but with a folder full of links would be awesome.

Is there anyway you guys can get MediaPortal to work with shortcuts??

It looks like that will only work with NTFS though...

Any way to do the same with FAT32?
Nope, FAT32 does not offer that feature, that is unique to NTFS, HFS and the unix file systems. (along with lots of other advantages)

You should consider using NTFS these days, it's performing way better than FAT systems.
