Any way to switch resolution easily (1 Viewer)

Is there any way to switch video resolution from within Mediaportal?
as I have a 46" samsung lcd tv as the main tv and when I wish to play movies on my projector (1024x768)
the resolution is all wrong as it is set ot 1080p for the tv.
Any idea's

Hi, there is no option within MP to switch res. You have to add a shortcut in MP to switch the res.

In your case you need two shortcuts, one for 1080p and another for 1024x768, and you simply select the corresponding shortcut before or after you change display.

are you sure this would actually work, i thought changing the resolution while MP was running causes it to crash?

I used to use ResSwitch on an old XP machine and it worked very well. Never tried with Vista or 7. To run you simply give the parameters, like ResSwitch /WIDTH:1024 /HEIGHT:768.

Another alternative is 12noon or you can use CCC to change the resoultion using different profiles, then call the profile from a batch script, but i have a feeling that changing resolution will cause mediaportal to crash.
