As the title says really.
Since Sky trashed my FloppyDTV solution with their white card I have been wondering what I can use to record (legit) Sky channels.
The CielPlus interfaces a Sky Digibox to a PC. It seems to use TSReader but it is just recording the bit stream anyway, just as MediaPortal does for other cards.
So what needs to be done to let MediaPortal recognise and use this as a regular TV card?
It even changes the Digibox channels the same way that my old TiVo did, using a Pace RF link into back!
Has anyone looked at this and considered it?
For info I'm a good developer but I've never worked on TV cards (but did write automotive J2534, ECU interface code for a company so I'm not TOTALLY thick). So although I can put together code it is bound to be a HUGE learning curve and I need any help I can get.
