I just ordered one of these from Compuvest for like $60 + $20~ shipping. I thought it was an amazing price seeing as how just a dual tuner alone costs $80. It doesn't specify what the model of the tuner is but I assume it's the Nvidia one and no DVR/PVR software lists it at all, much less as either working or not working.

I don't see why they wouldn't, although I don't know anything about analogue tuners these days. It's pretty much all digital over here, haven't used an analogue tuner in over a decade.

I'm assuming I can just use a converter box for digital so I'm not worried about that. I just hope it works with mediaportal.

THe hardware will be strong enough for Mediaportal.
Look at my signature, MP alsor works withe the crap i have.

Cool deal. I was thinking about putting a P4:3.0GHz in it with 2GB of RAM and basically disabling every running task except for MP and the programs that MP requires like the DVD decoder. If a Radeon 9600SE doesn't have any problems then I know a Geforce 6600 won't either.

As long as it does DX9 and has 128MB Vram everything should be fine.

Its in German but you can use the htxp.ini for nlite to get a superslim Windows XP for your HTPC.
It only needs around 260MB on the CD and starts very fast.
Didn't have any problems till now with it using MP Alpha.

workmate as this unit working fine the problem is the LCD display, he can't get it to work within mediaportal, also choose your CPU carefully, PSU have known power problems.
