Hello
I had 1.2 alpha version of MP installed, it had been upgraded from a previous version. It was completely rock solid up to a few days a go (I think that the skin updated) when I started to get a crash on the Home Screen (typically) with...
Description:
Stopped working
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: mediaportal.exe
Problem Signature 02: 1.1.5.16162
Problem Signature 03: 4cca7eb5
Problem Signature 04: mscorlib
Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 4bebd50b
Problem Signature 07: e2
Problem Signature 08: 16
Problem Signature 09: System.ArgumentOutOfRange
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 205
so I thought that it was about time to do a new install anyway so I totally uninstalled the skin, plugins and then MP 1.2 Alpha - a full uninstall.
I made sure that there were no folders left over etc from the removal.
I then decided to install MP 1.1.2 and the plugins TV Series and Moving Pictures, both latest versions and all works a treat.
However when I downloaded this skin again (latest version) and installed it along with the Info Service plugin I then get the same crash and this in the err.log.....

...going back to the std BlueWide skin and all is well.
So I disabled the RSS ticker, still the same.
This time I disabled the Info Service plugin and it now seems to be working fine (without the benefits of the Info service of course)
I saw the sticky post about the change of website of MP and how it can affect the Info Service plugin but the address within it is the correct one.
I'm not too sure what is causing this to happen but by either using the bluewide skin or this one but with the Info Service plugin disabled and no weather information showing it will then work.
There is no firewall on the HTPC and updates to the weather, when it worked, was fine.
As noted in the Info Service plugin...
Trust my luck and after posting all of the above I then find that the Info Service plugin has a forum section of its own and I'm now trying out the posted new dll...
