I want to be able to assign keystrokes to buttons on my remote.

Now its pretty easy to assign letters and numbers, but how do i assign keys like <enter> <space> etc?

I was looking at testing xbmc out for a while, until the flood of new skins actually get released for MP.

Well after about 10 mins, i stumbled on the answer...

You need to use Virtual Keycodes, the ones that begin with VK_

A list is here.

Once you found your key Encase it in curly bracket.

e.g.

{VK_SPACE} = Spacebar
{VK_BACK} = Backspace

xbmc is all running nicely and think I might be using it till maya, musta "the skin with no name" gets released, which could be a while.

currently i'm running the alaska skin, which is fantastic, but a bit tougher to figure out that MP was.

Just found the wonderful IRSS which is making my life a lot easier with the irtrans device integrated in my origen ae s10v, and this list of keys really helped out a lot. This really should be in the wiki.

One problem still remains: How do I assign key combinations to a button? Like CTRL+SHIFT+S

Edit: found the answer here. The above would be simply ^+s.

    Thanks,

    Slarti
